Competition

What are competitions all about?

Recognizing excellence

The FBLA-PBL National Awards Program recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. At the State Leadership Conferences, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete for national awards at the National Leadership Conference each summer.

specific guidelines

Each event is governed by specific guidelines and rating sheets that can be found below, and in the Competitive Events section of the Chapter Management Handbook, updated and published each August. Make sure you are using the most recent version of the guidelines to prepare for your competition.

competition levels

Competitive events fall into three categories: individual, team, and chapter. Individual and team events focus on skills useful in leadership and career development; chapter events recognize overall achievement and performance in chapter management and growth.

Information from fbla-pbl.org.

I am so grateful and proud to have been exposed to such an incredible organization as FBLA. Not only have I learned more of the business world than I ever knew, but FBLA has also proved how much more it is than just a business club. I have developed a more solid footing in leadership, education, and career goals, not to mention a few lifelong friends. I believe that every student, even those with non-business aspirations, should join FBLA for our organization’s ideal of not waiting around for the future to happen, but actively seeking out the opportunity ahead.
